Swimming / Water Sports

Creswick has a couple of popular swimming spots during the warmer months: the historic Calambeen Park Lake, with its historic diving tower and deep swimming hole is supervised by lifeguards during summer. There is also a shallow toddlers pool.  St. Georges Lake is also a safe and popular spot for swimming and canoeing (BYO).

During the summer months the Daylesford municipal pool just off the main street is very popular.

Ballarat also hosts a number of municipal pools, including the heated indoor pool on Gillies St near the Botanic gardens.

Unfortunately, whilst Daylesford Lake and Jubilee Lake (both in Daylesford) look beautiful, they are regarded as unsafe for swimming due to the risks associated with their depth and coldness. However, canoes and paddle boats can be hired at Lake Daylesford and Jubilee Lake during the weekends and holiday times.
